Great happy hour. Go! For every drink ordered during happy hour...you get 1 small plate of food. I had the pizza dish 2x 👌. Short walk from the Sumo Stadium.

What can I say, the best beer bar in Tokyo! The staff is so friendly and the orders come quickly! If possible ask to be seated by the bar and watch the bartender in action keeping up with all the different taps and orders coming in! Will come again on my next trip to Tokyo! Come early to awoid the crowd or the possibility not getting a seat!! It's a popular bar!!

Great place for beer. Massive selection of beers on tap. The food is acceptable.

We have been to several craft beer bars in Japan, none of them had better beers or a wider selection then this one: 70 on tap, every one we tried was at least good, most were excellent, no matter what style of beer you like. It is rather expensive, but you get what you pay for. Very easy access from the nearby JR Station (Ryogoku).

During happy hour with most of the beer you get half plate of pizza or salad or fried potatoes. Staff is friendly, they speak English. At the end we got charged 300 yen per person for (we're unsure what for) entry fee.

Going during happy hour will definitely get you the best bang for your buck. During this time you get half a free appetizer with every drink you order. Being from the United States, we definitely are used to a wide selection of drinks. There are 70 beers on tap and another smaller selection of mixed drinks. I was not a fan of the bloody mary just due to the lack of spices, but the Tequila Sunrise was delicious.

Small pours for the strong beers. Food included with some beers. When we went was very busy and has to sit outside.

Huge choice of beers, food tastes great and the staff is friendly, I regret high prices but I guess it's to be expected in such a place.

Amazing assortment of many local craft beers, and a good menu. Would recommend! Tends to be busiest during early evening / happy hour. Gets a bit more manageable after around 8PM.

Great beer place with a lot of beer to choose from. They have this happy hour where you get a little "tapas" when you order selected beers. The service was very polite and the beers and food pretty tasty.

They have 70 beers on tap that are always changing. Weekdays from 5-7 and Saturdays from 3-8 you get an appetizer of your choice with every beer you order. Beer is priced reasonably for craft beer in Tokyo. I would give this place 5 stars, but it’s extremely small. You’ll be sitting inches from other people, and the lights in here put out so much heat. Everyone is uncomfortable and sweating.

Great atmosphere. Plenty of drinks to choose from plus the 5 - 8 happy hour where certain drinks come with a free plate of food is a great way to keep people coming back. The next time I visit Tokyo I will be sure to return here.

Great beer selection. I chose the ten Japanese beer sampler and was pleased. The staff's English is superior to my Japanese so no trouble ordering food and multiple drinks.Speaking of the food it was bar finger foods we ate. Not amazing but not bad either.Of note... The place was half packed around 1300 on a Saturday afternoon. I didn't see the sign that said "Open at 3:00 p.m." and was politely asked to come back. It must have been a private party.I would love to return to this bar as we had a wonderful time.

Fish and chips turns out to be fish and crisps, which provided much amusement at our table. As with some other Japanese establishments, we found red wine was served chilled. This pub specialises in craft beer, and is very popular.

Great happy hour specials! Buy one drink, get half plate of food for free. We had a great time sitting and drinking, and watching love sumo wrestling.

Lots and lots of beers on tap! As a beer enthusiast I was pleasantly surprised with the selection and quality of beers. Fills up quickly during the after hours, so a reservation maybe needed.

One of the best thing about Popeye’s is that they make people smoke outside so it is not spoiling your evening. A fantastic selection of beer which changes regularly and good happy hr deals. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for with such a vast range of craft beers on tap to choose from.

Awesome bar! You should enjoy meeting new people as they may sit you at a table with others. I loved it. Staff were very attentive and good selection of beer.

Fantastic place!! For their happy hour (on Tuesdays at least) they give you a choice of food for each happy hour drink. And the beer selection is top notch. Also, live jazz. Highly recommend. 👍

Good food. People were polite and accommodating considering we don't speak the language. Beer was good and nice selection.

I have to say, I was disappointed by Popeye. I'd heard a lot of good things about it, but it didn't live up to the hype. On the plus side, the beer was good and there was a very good selection, and the customers I met were very friendly. Unfortunately, the staff seemed arrogant, unfriendly and generally over the top to me. The cover charge certainly didn't help endear the place to me, particularly given what I got for it. Even if it weren't so far from where I live, I doubt I'd go here again.

Guides often claim this to be the best beer bar in Tokyo... and let me say it, it's true. While it's often being remarked that food is kind of average quality here, it is palatable enough to get the job done.But the beers... 72 beers on tap, mostly by japanese breweries with a few notable foreign exceptions. I've tried five different ones having a round of drinks with friends, and not a single one left me dissatisfied. Special mentions to the Divine Vamp I.B.A. and the Shonan Green Bullet I.P.A. , absolutely to taste!

One of the weirdest beer bars I've ever been to. Crazy busy but they will definitely do everything in their hands to find you a spot to seat. Come with an open mind. Their selection of beers is mostly local which is highly appreciated and the service is nice. 70 taps of great beer you don't wanna miss!
